When you look out for someone who could manage with your travel problems then that are available to you. One is tour operators and other is travel agents. Very few know the main differences between the two people. People tend to have long perception for them in last few years. Let us see the main differences that lie between the two people in respect of their duties, responsibilities and work allocation. A tour operator is a group handler that organizes and provides you the package holidays. He is responsible for making contacts with the hotels and resorts as well as airlines for your tickets and is responsible for compiling all related information about any travel destination. The roles and responsibilities of a tour operator includes arrangement of transportation that may be chaffered car, chartered bus, van, train ticket, ferry ticket, cruise tickets and other means of transport. He is responsible for providing you tour guides that are licensed by the ministry of tourism of that country. They will get you best deals with accommodation and meals along with activities like tele match, treasure hunt, paint ball, team building etc. they will organize special events like company dinner and karaoke contest just for all you visitors. If we look on the other side then travel agents are not at all responsible for operating your tours. They are there for you to give you the best advices regarding any travel destination and the deals associated with them. They promote certain travel package and convince you for a particular travel packages that they get from their tour operators. The general set up that travel agents use are setting their offices on the main road, inside the shopping malls or ground floor of any landmark building. The basic responsibilities of travel agents are selling travel products and tickets, package tours etc. They may also serve you as general service agents who will make travel arrangements for you. They act as ticketing agent from the supplier companies and help you in getting best deals of ticket as well as accommodations and meals for the travel destination you wish to visit.
